| The needles I have are 3/10cc, 29 gauge x 1/2 (12.7mm) 30 units. Trying to figure out how to mix. I take 150 right now in a bigger needle. I'm almost done with my 5000. Need to mix my next does of 1500 but in smaller needle. Please help.

I'd mix for .25 cc's If you are taking 150 iu's and you have a 5000 ampule take 5000 and divide it by 150 that gives you 33 injections multiply the number of injections by the amount you want to inject. Like I said, I only inject .25 which is much nicer - I bruise when I use more water. So multiply 33 times the amount in my case .25 and this gives you the total amount of water that you will mix your powder with which comes to about 8.25 cc's. Hope that helps. |

| I am probably a little late posting this. You've probably already mixed. BUT, decide how much volume you want per injection. I like 0.2cc . In fact, I always advise to mix the same . . . ALWAYS, because it is so easy to tweak the daily dosage!
The formula is:
IUs per ampoule / cc per dose = doses per ampoule THEN
doses per ampoule * cc per injection = total water for mixing
I always mix for 200 IUs and a 0.2cc injection. If you do that, daily dosage can be adjusted:
12.5 units (insulin syringe) = 0.125cc = 125 IUs
15 units = 0.15cc = 150 IUs
17.5 units = 0.175cc = 175 IUs
20 units = 0.2cc = 200 IUs
22.5 units = 0.2125cc = 225 IUs
25 units = 0.25cc = 250 IUs
So easy to do with those little insulin syringes. One way to mix, all amounts of dosage easy to do. To mix for this, use 1cc bac water for each 1000 IUs hcg.
