| My friend is doing the HCG injections, she is 300+lbs and having a hard time self-injecting good into a muscle on her hip/behind. Yesterday she had a spot of blood, and she thought she might have hit a little capilary which she says there is a lot of and she showed me the bruise it left and it was pretty big! Bigger than a quarter. She said her arms are really strong and has lots of muscle and would be easy for her and was wondering about wether she would absorb it well and get the same results if she did it in the arm?
Her husband was able to do the first two because they were on the weekend but he gets up anywhere from 3am to 5am for a concrete pour and she never knows when so it wouldn't work good for him to do it the other five days of the week. If she's not able to put it in her arm is there any other suggestions on how to make it easier on her? She is really excited about this and I'm excited for her too. She's so looking forward to getting the weight off. :) |

| My suggestion would be to switch to subQ injections and just do them in the belly. The difference in the absorption rate is so minimal. I was thrilled with the ease and comfort when I switched to insulin syringes! I'll never go back to IM injections! Tell her not to worry about the bruise, either. I've had several of them, and some pretty big. I still get them even doing subQ. Those little blood vessels can really bleed into the skin! But no permanent or major damage! _________________

| I second that!! I couldn't do it if I had to inject into muscle. The thought of it is just too much for me I have always done it in the belly fat with the little itty bitty insulin syringes and that is the way to go |
