| Im not sure if we are to be this diet for 40 or 45 days. I have sporadic periods and may not even have a period. So If I dont have a period, can I stay on the diet for 45 days or is it 40 days? Im not doing injections and the pills dont say. It just sais to follow the simeons diet to a T. It would sure be nice if I could stay on the diet the full 45 days straight through, but I want to do whats right.

| Hey there girlie! I've been watching your journal and you're doing just great!!!! I think the issue with "40 days" has more to do with the injections and avoiding immunity. I think the max for injections in a round is 40.
With the pills, I'm not sure..... I don't think it would hurt anything for you to give at go to see if you can knock that last bit off. You can always discontinue if you start feeling funky. Maybe Benzgirl knows????

| If they say to follow Simeons to a T, then I would assume that is also for the pills. If that is so, then you would take pills for 40 doses, however long it takes you to do that (because of weekly days off or days off for mensus). However long that all takes, you stay on 500 calories for 3 more days.

| ...but taking however many pills you take per day for 40 days does pertain to the Simeon's protocol...I'm with Linda...go with following the protocol to a tee!

| You can take them up to 40 days. The way you get more than 40 days is if you have a period and don't take them then you may to add a few more days so you may be on the diet for more than 40 days but still only do 40 days worth of hcg. You also do the diet for an extra 3 days after your last day of hcg (or in our case pills). Did you get that or did i really mess you up now?  |

Yes, Pandi! Take your pills for 40 days, but continue the diet for 3 more days after you stop taking them = 43 days on vlcd; 40 days on pills.
