How do you open the ampules?

Subject: How do you open the ampules? Mon Dec 31 2007, 13:17

We are testing opening the ampules on the water that comes with the hcg...how in world do we open these things? We've watched a You Tube video and it STILL didn't work. Are we supposed to score the ampule? Do we do it on the line or on the neck??

Not sure what else to try and we only have one more "test" water ampule before we start the REAL HCG one!!!!

Hi Tiffany!
In case you still need help, hold the ampoule in your left hand (you are right handed aren't you?) with the little glass bottom kind of nestled, wrapped in your first finger and your thumb holding it secure, but not tight (you don't want to crush it). With your right hand, kind of do the same thing with the top. You want to use pressure with your thumbs to lightly and quickly snap it away from you, breaking the narrow neck. Too much pressure with your fingers will crush it. You don't have to score anything. They are made weak at that point to break easily.

Tiffany- I take the empty alcohol pad container and put it over the neck of the ampoule and hold the bottom part of the ampoule in my left and and snap off the neck in my right hand. I don't worry about the glass as much. I do it in one fast fluid motion. Easy peasy. And then the neck is ready to be disposed of inside the alcohol pad container. I use the alcohol pad to wipe off the top of the sterile vial. Then I throw everything away. Well excpet for the bottom part of the ampoule that has the hCG powder in it. :P

Hello everyone, I will start R1P2 tomorrow and I am not sure how many days I need to go(23 or 45) I want to lose about 31lbs, using SL 5000 iu hcg. Help! ROFL

It's really up to you how long you want to go. If you want to get most or all of the 31 pounds off you will need more than 23 days (or at least most of us do). winking

So...you can do 23 days and then take a short break and then continue OR...you can do a full 45 days...it's all up to you cool 2
