hmm, thats strange. at least you can tell if you become immune to it because of the hunger issue....so that would be a good way to judge it i suppose

Yes, but keep in mind that this is "eat your arm off hunger". If you develope immunity, that means the hcg is no longer affective and you are totally on your own for supplying calories to your body. That means massive hunger while still on 500 cal!!!

I just think back to before I started the HCG and I remember I tried to do a liquid only diet...that lasted til about 4pm. I was starving starving...and I have never felt a speck of that since doing the protocol. If I feel like I'm going to eat my arm off, I'll definitely know I've reached the limit!

If my arm was a big cookie, it would be gone at this point. I had my 39th injection yesterday and now I'm going to call it quits. I am feeling hunger for sure. I don't know if its immunity, or if I just know I'm coming to the end so I'm gearing up....
I'm currently eating an anise cookie right now...I hope I'm not crying on the scale tomorrow!!! :hunger: :hunger: :hunger:

Remember, no starches or sugars for another 3 weeks! For the next 72 hours eat enough to keep from being too hungry, but don't increase over that just yet. After the 72 hours take your cal up to 2000 and see how that does. Be prepared to gain back the weight you lose during those 3 days and FOCUS on LIW not your lowest weight. It sounds like you are more than ready for a break. You've had a good round. Time to enjoy a few yummy things for a while cheering

Thanks! I'm actually already above my LIW by about a pound. I'm hoping to keep it stable(ish) if I can. I'm hoping I'm one of those people who continue to lose on Phase 3.... :lol 3:
I"m wondering if I can have A1 with my steak, if I need to do a steak day...! Probably not.
During Phase 3 did you steer clear of fruits? I'm wondering if I should just break out my old Atkins book for Phase 3.

I kind of have gone to Atkins for the most part, but do have an occasional fruit and often have veggies. I also have a nice big chef salad for lunch most days. Be aware that A1 has sugar in it, as do most steak sauces. I don't use them . . . however I have to admit that I've had a bite of English toffee most days. Hubby has left it out and it us way too tempting!!! One bite hasn't hurt, but I know it hasn't helped either.

I'm about to start P2 on New Year's Eve. I know its supposed to be limited to 40 injections. I'm planning on not skipping an injection each week as it tells you to do in Simeons instructions.

What I don't understand with Simeons is if I did skip an injection each week, then Phase 2 would last longer than 43 days wouldn't it? In order to take the full 40 injections you'd have to add back in the days you skipped?
Example:
7 days per week x 6 weeks = 42 days
minus 6 days of skipped injections
equals 36 injections
42 days + 6 days of injections + 3 days at end of Phase 2 without injections = 51 days for Phase 2?

Yes, that is right. You would be on for 7 calendar weeks, but still 40 injections. Simeons was worried about immunity, but we have learned from other doctors and clinics who have been doing this for a long time that there doesn't seem to actually be an immunity to hcg. We have not seen any here and I haven't heard of it other places. I've heard reports of people staying on hcg for months and still doing fine with it.

Thanks for the advice! I decided to not skip taking a shot and have been taking them every day. I'm on Day 18 of injections; I've lost 22lbs plus taking off the 5lbs I put on for the gorging! Thanks Dr. S! bravo
