Is Morton's salt substitute OK? I was told by a doctor that people who can't have salt can use that as it is basically potassium. They also said not to cook with it becasue it doesn't taste great cooked but to add after heating food and it tastes just like salt.

Does anyone know about the salt substitute?

I feel stupid . For some reason I always thought that on the 2 load days before starting Phase 2 VLCD you do NOT inject HCG . This is what I have been doing for the last 3 rounds I've done . From reading a couple of threads recently it seems like I'm supposed to do the 2 load days AND start the HCG injections on those load days, too ?

A: Yes. Drinking 16 ounces or more daily (whether diet or regular) doubles your risk of chronic kidney disease, according to an NIH study of more than 900 people.
Im just wondering why most of you inject your HCG subcutaneously when it says in the simeons protocol to inject deep intramucscularly (IM)? It says to avoid injecting into the fat.. and make sure it is in the muscle. So which is correct??

I was emailed a little Q&A from author and "Biggest Loser" trainer Jillian Michaels:

Q: Are there really foods that burn fat? If so, what are they?

A: Not really, but there are foods that contain fewer calories than the body uses to digest them. Therefore, when you eat these foods (cruciferous veggies, leafy greens, and so forth), you’re helping create a calorie deficit.

That said, there are also certain foods that will crank up your metabolism by releasing the right hormones. ...

He says that it works as a flavoring, it has amino acids. The owner had actually used Braggs and switched from Braggs to Brewers Yeast he claims. The carbs aren't as good but it is a powder he says a little goes a long way. I am not going to try it today but does anyone know anything about it in terms of this protocol?

Hi,

I have been weighing my chicken after it is cooked because I cook it from frozen--so the opportunity to "raw weigh" it is not there. My clinic told me that 100 g of raw = about 80 g of cooked. That has worked fine for me.

Question to be answered is...

I was noticing on my bag of frozen chicken that 112 g = 100 calories. Does anyone know if that is a FROZEN weight or a RAW weight? Just wondering about my calorie intake and accuracy.

Thanks :)
