I eat shrimp often, sometimes cold with a little home made cocktail sauce, sometimes in a salad. I also eat water pack tuna a couple of times a week.

Hi there rockgirl......I too eat shrimp and crab. Only the real stuff !!!

I weigh mine raw and defrosted. I usually use the shrimp in some kind of soup (oriental style) so that it is more filling. Because the seafood does not fill me up as much as the beef or chicken, but I do love it so!!

skinnyminnie, yes steamed crab is fine but make sure you weigh it. shrimp can be fozen or fresh or already steamed too as long as you know that don't add anything to it that would be not on protocol. I think the obay seasoning is okay too but not really sure. make sure it doesn't have sugar or msg...

Skinnyminnie, I sure don't know but what I would do is take the meat out of the crabs, then weigh it. Then from then on you would know approximately how many crabs would make up the 100 grams. You might also try one of the nutrition info websites like www.nutritiondata.com They might be have it.

I'm try to find the shrimp cocktail sauce I thought I'd copied from here somewhere but to no avail.

It had tomato past, garlic powder and I can't remember the rest. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

It may not have been in the Recipe folder: it was in someone's journal and I can't remember. so mad

I don't have the recipe but I thought the shrimp sauce I use to buy had horseradish in it. That would really spice it up but a little goes a LOOOOONG way. LOL

It turned out pretty nasty as I made it from memory. I ate it anyway. lol

Dying for chocolate - probably because it's the end of a crazy work week.

just on the note of weighing meat and cooked meat weighing half as much... make sure not to overcook the meat. Overcooking meat kills a bunch of vital and necessary omegas and acids in the foods. I don't mean to under cook food either chicken especially (heaven forbid) but don't burn it to a chared up crisp (even if some love it that way).
