| | Kevin does not list them, but Simeon does. Anyone eating them with success? I really am not a fan of plain white fish. Also, just a warning-- the wild chilean sea bass that kevin recommends is high in calories and fat. |

| You are right about the chilean sea bass...I was scratchin' my head at that one! Better off with halibut, perch and flounder. I am eating shrimp and crab! I get King Crab from Alaska, so not too worried about toxins in them...the Bering sea is so close to a polar cap it's very cold. Toxins from waste are in the warmer more populated areas. The shrimp...well, I buy the wild caught from Chile when I can and don't eat it everyday which should give my system a chance to destroy whatever toxins I may have ingested with them. I have not been an outrageous loser, but I am losing and the meals have been satisfying for me. I say, eat shellfish with great relish and enjoy yourself! _________________

| I ate and will eat again, shrimp, a LITTLE water pack tuna, possibly crab, and lots of chicken. The reason KT doesn't include sea foods is because they are not considered healthy becuase of the toxins. But, I am concentrating on the weight right now and if it takes a little shrimp and crab, so be it! _________________

| Beverly, my brother has a crab boat in Alaska...he sends me crab and shrimp every season....I dive for my own lobster..in season! of course! There are many sites online that will overnite wild caught shellfish, fish, bison, green grazed beef and pretty much whatever else you could want. Just Google your query. If you have a whole foods market near you, they have wild caught food in season as well..... _________________

| | Okay, so I'd like to vary my diet as much as possible, and like crab, BUT...how do you weigh raw crab meat? |

| Get yourself some good poultry scissors and remove the shell. I would only recommend using King crab, snow crab will take forever! Something else....you can cook your crab first and then weigh it out....use 3.5 ounces of any cooked meat. Try to remember the diet is based on Dr. Simeons' diet rules made over 50 years ago. _________________

| I ate the sea bass quite a bit on R1P2 and really enjoyed it...I grilled it on my George Forman grill and it tasted like it had been cooked in butter. You are right about the fat content but I didn't seem to have any trouble. The thing I hated about it was the smell...my whole house stunk for days and days... I am currently on R2P2 and I cannot even stomach the thought of cooking it again because of the smell. I had to toss my George Forman and get a new one because I couldn't get the odor off it it either!!!!! From now on I am sticking to a milder fish and the OUTDOOR grill!

| | i just thought i'd give my experience with both. I ate plenty of shrimp and have always had a loss the next day, however the one time i ate crab i gained a pound the next day, possibly due to salt content, im not sure. Anyway i was so frustrated cause it took me close to 3 days to get back down to where i was before the crab.. just a warning and maybe it wont effect you the same way at all, but i figured i'd mention it.. good luck =) |

| I eat a lot of shrimp on p2 and always lose. Haven't tried crab. Maybe I'll give it a shot next time and let you know what happens. _________________

I thought the meat was supposed to be weighed RAW?? I know I cooked shrimp the other day and what was 100 g uncooked weighed 51 g after cooking. _________________

| Uh-oh...now I'm confused...
I'm not a big seafood eater, but if I'm limited to so few foods, seafood might be refreshing. I'd love to see if anyone else has had any crab meat experience...I'd hate to gain a bunch of weight that I'd hate to lose again!!! |

| I ate crab meat once a week and it didn't hurt anything. My average ended up at 1/2 pound a day no matter which meat I had. :cat : It sure was a nice change... _________________ Denise
