What should I 'pump' my body with on P2 w/ this cold?

I want to try more Cinnamon since it's anti-bac and viral. Help me get some relief, but what else should I be taking on p2 that would help me get this cold out of my system.

I'm drinking hot water w/ lemon, is the oolong and green tea okay? I have weightless tea and and a detox tea (my MIL says they just have some great stuff to take off water weight)

What other p2 approved teas might I take really to help the symptoms. I know I can't make a viral infection like a cold go away sooner (though there is promising research w/ cinnamon)

Xylitol is anti-viral. They even use it in nasal sprays and my son and daughter have both tried it with success. Coconut oil is really good for the body and is supposed to help with that as well. i also take echinacea (with goldenseal) in massive amounts for a couple of days, then in reduced amounts for a few days after. Include vitamin C, too, over 1000 mg while you are sick.

I'm amazed though how quickly I got over this cold. One real good day of feeling miserable and it has pretty much gone away for the most part.

I will put that feather in my cap though. Thanks for getting back to me.

I know when I am off this diet I am switching to coconut oil for sure!

One of the huge benefits of getting healthier (which the diet will do for you) is that your body is better able to battle viral infections. NICE!!!! way to go

Another amazing factor for me is the new found understanding of spices. I knew there was something to it, but when you don't think about it, when yo udon't use it, you lose it.

Oh, I saw a "First" magazine that was simular to the protocol diet in a way, very vague simularities to the food intake, and then a 'get yourself healthy' and coconut oil was number 1 on the list. It was awesome.
