PostSubject: Cold symptoms   Mon Feb 18 2008, 19:58

Hi Everyone, I'm wondering if in the beginning if you get detox symptoms. I'm experiencing a bit of a sore throat - not sure if it's from a real sore throat or post nasal drip. Just wondering.

Also I went off my thyroid medicine and I'm not sure if that's tied in some how.

Thank you!

PostSubject: cedar fever?   Mon Feb 18 2008, 20:35

Hi Christine,

Hang in there! Don't know what area you are in, but pollens are going ballistic. Cedars are high here and even the canines are showing allergy signs.

(Been on armour thyroid) Which thyroid were you taking and how long did you go off? You might notice the draggy feeling by 4pm if it's dropping a bit.

If you have used a lot of sinus meds, 'specially inhalers for the sinus passages, you might detox some chems, but that should go pretty quickly, especially if you had some time on phase 1 cleansing and letting the liver choose its battles.

Warm lemon drink in the a.m. There's a lemon/ginge decaf out there that is soothing too.

Rooting for you!

Hi Dove1:

Thank you for the encouragement! I'll look for the tea on the way home from work. In the meantime I did bring in some "lemonade". :sunny:

I was using armor thyroid too - I've tried going off of it before but I crashed and burned. I can't wait to see if Simeon's really knows his stuff and if I can (hopefully) stop taking it. All in all this entire protocol is exciting. cheering

Have a great day!

PostSubject: how are you doing now?   Tue Feb 19 2008, 21:43

:3cheer:

jes' checking in to see how you are doin', Christine!
Numi Tea has some real yummy ginger/lemon grass tea in decaf mode. I bet the true lemon stuff was better for you. (it makes my stomach burn, so I have to stay with the wimpier versions).

Dr. Robert in AU recommends some rose hips tea also.

I can relate to thyroid crashes. I've had a number of them in the last 8 years. Did two - three tbsp of coconut oil to rev up the system and try to go through the phase2 without any assistance, but won't be too stubborn if I feel the 4pm lows hit.

rooting for you in TX,

Victoria for the duo

I *love* your avatar! lol! So cute!

I'm doing really well this morning - I slept like a brick last night - I fell asleep on the couch at 7pm. I'm certain it's the thyroid issue.

Everything seems rosy today. lol I lost 2.2 lbs overnight and can't hardly believe it. I love the fact that I'm losing fat and not muscle.

Thank you for the "tea idea's". I actually have rose hips dried from my rose bush and might experiment in making my own.

I hope you're having a Great Day! :dance 6:
