has anyone tried eating carrots?

have you guys had success or failures?

i know it's not on the list...but they seem to be very much like apples to me. :)

i'm eating carrots.

Yay!

you know they are super loaded with vitamin A, so for someone like me, wearing glasses, i think i need a good source of vitamin A.

i have eaten a carrot every day with something like celery for lunch, for this whole p2,
i've had really great losses, too. the carrots don't seem to affect anything.

you know, i wouldn't have been brave enough to try it except gmasmitty says she tried mushrooms with success.

i have added a couple other things that have slowed down my weightloss in the last week, or two (i'm on day 25), and i'm nearing my goal, so i don't know if the stalling is about the things i'm cheating with, or because i have less fat to loose.
i could quit cheating and resume the loosing, but i'm having fun just staying here at 149. silly me.

i'm adding too much milk to my coffee,
sometimes i breakdown and eat an extra fruit, and make it way too many strawberries,
and i don't want to admit that i'm putting buttermilk on my salad (it is only 1% fat), but i am. and i'm stalled out. and i know why.
so about the carrot.
i think it is okay,
but, evidently, i've tricked myself out of the diet completely......
except that i'm not gaining....
and if it's the hcg that is making this all seem so fun, well.

Folks......... carrots are LOADED w/sugar and are not on P2 protocol. I don't even eat them (or peas) on P3!! I wait til P4.

There are a few things I've tried because they have no sugar and very few carbs: green beans, broccoli, mushrooms. If you decide to try something like carrots, I would do it in place of fruit. Watch your weight carefully and if you gain or stop losing, BACK OFF! Go back to strict protocol again. Sometimes you find something that works well for you. Something that works for someone may not work for you. Sticking to Dr. S list is BEST, but I do know that there are things we can add that work. Just be careful and don't hesitate to retreat at the slightest sign of slowdown or gain.
