| I found a sugar free chocolate bar at trader joes. They have it in milk and dark choclate that i ate during phase 3. The dark chocolate was 100 calories for 3 squares and the milk choclate was 120 calories for 3 squares. I would have 1/4 a cup of almonds and my 3 squares of chocolate as a snack during phase 3 and it was very tasty and satisfying. Just don't eat more than 1 serving since it has sugar alcohols which can have a laxative effect if you eat too much. But definetly let us know about the stevia chocolate because that wouldn't have the sugar alcohols. _________________

| Any of the artificially sweetened chocolate had a side effect which was the laxative effect. there is a company out of canada which has a sweetener which does not have the laxative effect. I sell them in my store but did not try them during my phase 3 since I did not want any of the artificial sweeteners. When i used to do Adkins i would eat these. They were probably the best of that catagory (sugar free). I sell them for $2.00/bar and I know you can find them on line....they are called Ross Bars. I would put what it is sweetened wtih but I'm at home and dont have access to that info. I will try and remember on Monday to post what the sweetener is in them. They have quite a few varieties. I think we carried about 8-10? Anyone that wants to buy you can find on line...i'm just not sure if you can get 1@ flavor you want or not. If anyone wants just 1 of each flavor to try let me know and I can send to you. Remember at this time of year it iwll melt and you'll need to stick in frig and it will be just find. Otherwise you would have to pay for ice brick and wrapping in summer shipping etc. Just not worth it in my opinion to just have it looking a little nicer. I'm sure you can search and find just not sure how you have to buy. I DO NOT recommend these on phase 2 since they do have fat in them.
just found them:
http://www.rossdirect.com/
this is a VERY GOOD PRICE....LESS THEN WE PAY WHOLESALE. I bought these so I could have for myself mainly and had to purchase 1000 at a time to have them brought in. They have the variety pack which I would say would be great. _________________ GT gram

Okay... I just HAVE to chime in:
You know....... that 'reward' may be a curse. You are just prolonging effective weightloss, that you don't even know you're having. (ie. If you WEREN'T cheating w/chocolate... you might be loosing even more.)
Round One is NOT the time to cheat. This IS mind over matter. Sugar IS addictive, and you should probably just try to 'get over it'.
Personally... I have been a carbo/tortilla chip addict for years. Now, after a few rounds... I can look 'em square in the face.. and I just don't care anymore!:):) I am the boss of my food (and my mind) now. You can do it. Just stop telling yourself you have no control.. ESPECIALLY when you're on P2!! Those inj will Stop Hunger.. Period.
You can do it. C'mon.
(Oh.. also.. welcome to the forum.. Yeah. I'm the 'tough love' sort on here! :):) _________________ CLICK HERE For My P2R6 Stats!

| I agree 100% with you GT and Cher! When you start letting this or that in, you are opening the door to all kinds of problems. Most of us cannot do the little cheats and get away with them. |

| Guayaki Chocolate Mate tea with the chocolate liquid stevia keeps me going. :) Other sweet treats I go to (for phase 2) are cottage cheese with cinnamon and the vanilla creme liquid stevia, and baked apples. :) You can do this! You'll be really happy with yourself if you stick with it, and looking back at all the struggles is so worth it when you're 30 lbs lighter! I totally get the mental struggle... my best strategy is to distract myself with tea or lemonade until the craving passes. My last resort is sugarfree gum, but we all know how bad the artificial sweeteners are, so it's totally a last resort. _________________ Lindsey

| | hi everyone! i'm a newbie here - just started the injections monday and i'll get around to a profile and a slider (sooner or later! lol!) but i ran across this topic in my reading and lemme tell ya, chocolate is a subject near and dear to my heart! another member here (beth :D ) is a very close friend and i was moaning to her about the death of chocolate during these days of vlcd. then i remembered.......chocolate coffee!!! i was so happy i almost got up in the middle of the night to go make some. folgers makes a chocolate flavored coffee that has NO added sugar or carbs and (according to the info on their website) uses natural and artificial flavorings but no other additives. and since we can drink all the coffee we want - i may have found a way to muffle the chocolate-genie during this time. hope it makes some other chocolate lovers as happy as it has me! ;) |

| I'm not a coffee drinker, however, I may try this cold with a little cream and stevia like the starbuck frappachinos (I have no idea how to spell that but I'm sure you know what I"m talking about) Would be a good drink on a hot summer day!!
thanks for your input......no matter how new you never know when your idea really helps someone else. thanks again. _________________ GT gram

| I thought we were supposed to avoid all artificially flavored things throughout. Otherwise the cravings will always remain. I personally am a purist when it comes to foods, but there IS an alternative. The Cocoa bean is roasted and ground just like any coffee bean there is out there, they sell the 100% powdered cocoa at the healthfood store, no carbs no sugars but 20 calories per serving. You use it to make baked goods or an unsweetened cocoa drink, you can add stevia to it to bring out the sweet flavor or drink it by itself. By itself it tastes somewhat bitter like an espresso shot but better. I don't use a full serving when I drink it, it is very rich. I mix it with organic tea and then drink it, there are a bunch of health benefits to drinking cocoa that is unsweetened and pure. Anyhow, now I am wondering if anybody here has tried the drink I am mentioning... the name of the powder is Wondercocoa _________________ RMDelete's P2 stats --- RMDelete's HCG Journal for R1P2

| | Hi RM, I've never tried that particular brand but I purchase unsweetened organic cocoa powder at Whole Foods all the time and I use it with stevia and a little bit of cottage cheese and water and a handful of frozen strawberries in the blender and it is a delicious protein drink. |

| | Yeah, there is a place under resources that has all kinds of good recipes. If you go to phase 2 recipes, user Articshark has a lot of good ones under one post. Also Debbie has a great one for chili which I use all the time as a staple. |

| Stevia cannot be classified as a food because of FDA regulations - that is why Whole Foods sells it on their supplements aisle.
I buy stevia along with coconut oil, apple cider vinegar, vitamins, etc. from vitacost - www. vitacost.com . They currently sell the liquid flavored stevia for $8.95 for a 2 oz bottle. They charge $4.99 for shipping so I order my supplies in batches. They also sell the packets of stevia a lot cheaper than Whole Foods!
