| :help!: Has anyone try eating Tuna Tataki? Not the one that you buy at the Sushi Restaurants, but you can buy it by the pound or less at Whole Foods.
I know that neither Kevin nor Doctor Simeons mentioned it, but.... just wondering. I do not want to do any that might slow the weight loss. _________________ Val

| Nope, and I probably won't. Although tuna is not an "approved" fish, many have eaten it from the can (packed in water) and haven't been hindered in their weight loss. If it is something you really want, wait until you've been on protocol for a while and give it a try. You don't want to start experimenting too early, but once your body has adapted, go for it! Keep in mind that any deviation CAN cause a stall or a gain. On the other hand, you may not have any negative effect at all and be able to add a new item to your menu. Good luck! Let us know what you decide and the outcome! _________________

| Are all the ingredients listed on the tuna Tataki packaging? If it were just tuna sashimi, that would be plain, raw tuna... But if it is labelled tuna Tataki, most recipies for that include peanut and/or sesame oil (as well as soy sauce) which would be out of the question.
Okay, now I'm hungry.... :) _________________ -Michelle

No, I would just eat the raw tuna with any herb seasonings that are allowed and some lemon.
However, as Regina said, I will wait before I try experimenting. _________________ Val

| | Actually, tuna has a high fat content which is why it wasn't on the list of fish that Simeons prescribed but there are people who have been using it occasionally with no problems. |

Then is true what they say: "The good things in life are either illegal, immoral, or they make you fat" _________________ Val

| Thankfully not everything! Fresh tuna may be high fat, but what we get in the can is actually low fat enough that we can use it without a problem. I would carefully watch kinds of fish for fat content before varying from the list Simeons gave us. _________________

| | A friend of mine has joined a local program (HCG diet) with a slightly expanded menu. White albacore tuna packed in water is allowed (3.5 oz). It is practically the same diet that Dr. Simeons describes, with a few extras like mushrooms, zucchini, 1/2 fresh peach, dried apricots...just a few things to get you excited about eating something besides the same old stuff day-in and day-out. :clapping 2: |

| Though it isn't on Dr. S' protocol, I use mushrooms all the time now. I have also used other veggies that have nearly 0 calories: green peppers, french cut green beans, zucchini. I have tuna a couple of times a week, fat free cottage cheese 2-3 times a week. Haven't tried other fruits, but may at some point in time. But I am strict on the 500 cal. Other programs expand the calories, too, but their clients don't lose as well with more calories USUALLY. _________________

| I am not going to experiment -- I gained 3 pounds during my period. Granted, I used to gained up to 8 pounds before I started the protocol --but still--- I want the pounds OFF!!!
On another note, thanks for your support, Ladies.
