 | Subject: rinse the beef? Fri Apr 25 2008, 15:27 | |
| I was reading on an older post somewhere on this website-Im not sure where it is now....I read that after cooking beef to rinse it to remove fat. How would you do this? Would it take away the flavor? Im someone that likes to eat warm food, with the exception of salad.(even then I like warm chicken on my salad) So I wondered if after rinsing, you could reheat in the pan? If anyone knows about this "beef rinse method" please let me know |

| I think this is for ground beef, lots of different diet suggest this. Jenny Craig for one. I have never done it, I cook the lowest fat beef I can buy, usually 91/9 or 93/7, drain it and then put it in whatever I am making. As far as all your other meats you cut off all the visible fat before cooking and that should be sufficient, no need to rinse. Hope this helps. _________________ ~*~Beth~*~

| I do rinse the ground beef with boiling water (after seasoning and coocking). Just use a little more herbs. Taste is fine! Steak: just the same. Or I wipe the fat of after coocking with some absorbing paper.
To avoid gaining on beef I eat a little more than half a portion. _________________ My stats: http://www.hcgsupportgroup.com/journals-round-2-f39/mar-s-round-2-t2635.htm
