I am counting calories and have been doing pretty well. It's been a little tough for me to reach 500 calories and even tougher for me to eat what all I've added up to that much! My meats have been chicken, steak, and tuna so far and I'll usually have it over a salad with apple cider vinegar and one veggie (tomato or cucumber). I'm getting full before I finish it up. I would just divide the food up and eat several times a day, but I just can't do it. I won't ever pick it up again... I'm getting full and not wanting to eat. Anyone else experiencing this? Should I just make myself eat even though I'm stuffed? I know it's not good to go above or below 500 calories. I'm just having a hard time of it. I'm on my 6th injection day (4th vlcd day).

Wow, aren't you the lucky one! I would suggest trying to get as much of the protein in that you can. Have your fruit at a separate time and if you are still having trouble, cut one of your fruits out all together and don't eat the melba or grissini breadsticks. The protein is most important, followed by the vegetables followed by the fruit, then last the breadstick....

Thanks! I guess I'll up the meats. I haven't had any grissini or melba and don't plan on having it at all. I've been having an apple and a grapefruit as snacks... maybe I'll cut back to only one. The fullness comes from the meat and salad... I'll cut back on the salad and try to down the meat as best I can. I know my stomach is shrinking, which I guess is a good thing, but I'm worrying about not getting enough food in me doh 3

Dr. S says it's OK:

Those not uncommon patients who feel that even so little food is too much for them, can omit anything they wish.

So, omit what you need to, but do try to get the protein in. I often forget to eat a fruit and sometimes don't eat either of them. I rarely eat the melba. As long as you aren't hungry, go ahead and cut back.

Oh, to have such problems laugh 4 bellylaugh giggly

Actually, I am like you. Plus I am getting sick of salad!! But yes, I too get full. It's nice, I have not been hungry yet, and I am on day 8 of vlcd!
