| Ok I started my vlcd 9 days ago. I have lost 12.6lbs at first I thought this was going to be easy. I never really ate during the day so I wasn't hungry and actually found it difficult to eat so much but pushed through. I now am finding the cravings and hunger in the evening. Yesterday was very difficult and actually gained (203.0 to 203.4 so not bad). Also our kids are in football so we have practice 3 nights a week so I find myself eating my last protein about 8:30pm those nights, is that bad? Anyhow any suggestions would be great. Thanks
Ps. Any suggestions for green veggies because the thought of lettuce makes me sick to my stomach. |

| Eating so late may be the problem for you ~ are you hungry after you eat at 8.30? What time do you go to bed? Getting a good night's sleep is important to losing. I try to have dinner no later than 6 or 6:30, and earlier if possible. Is there a way you could make something for dinner that you could take to the practices, so you weren't eating so late?
I had a real problem with hunger in the evenings at the beginning of Phase 2/ vlcd ~ I started taking MCT oil (medium chain triglycerides), which really helped me with that ~ virgin/extra virgin coconut oil has these and there is a recipe in the Phase 2 Recipes for Coconut Bark that you may want to check out ~ you don't count those calories and can have up to 4 tablespoons (though 2 is ideal).
Also, drinking enough water can help with the hunger ~ make sure you're drinking at least 1 oz. of water for every 2 pounds of body weight ~ I have to mark mine down, otherwise I think I'm getting enough when I'm not ~ It sure seems like it's enough!
Veggies are pretty limited, especially in the beginning ~ This is what's in my protocol: Salads Spinach, Beet greens (not the beets themselves), Settuces of any kind, Field greens (dandelion, rocket, radicchio, cilantro, basil, and others), Tomatoes, Celery, Red radishes, Cucumbers.
Steamable or Grillable Fennel Root, White Yellow or Red Onions, Asparagus (4 "spears"), Cabbage, Chard, Tomato, Spinach.
Once you're on Phase 2 for a few weeks, you can try slowly adding some other veggies and see how your body (on HCG) responds to them ~ GrandmaSmitty eats several other veggies with no problem, so you could take a look at her journal, too! _________________
