1st Injection And Menses

A friend of mine is starting the protocol and has a question. She thought she stopped her period today so she took the injection, but then started bleeding again. She is feeling really sick right now after taking the injection - do you think it is because she is still on her period a little? Is it going to be bad for her that she took the shot today?

The hcg won't hurt anything. The very first injection hardly does anything. It takes about 3 days for it to build up in the system to work for fat loss. I would think it is totally coincidense and she has probably picked up a bug or a little food poison. But if she has virus of any kind, starting hcg may make her feel worse because of the sudden release of toxins in the next day or two. Tell her to really take it easy and it might not be a bad idea to stop injections and wait for the weekend to start when she feels better and TOM is over for sure.

Mmm, I don't think she had a bug. I started my hCG injections this Monday and I started Tuesday and I have felt like dog doo doo ever since. Terrible nausea, so tired, severe cramping, Heavy heavy TOM. It's been POOP! I think everyone is different and our bodies are unique, people respond differently to hCG. No more hCG + TOM.

Yeah I just started P2 again yesterday and now it looks like my period is starting again. I am right in the middle of my gorge/load days tho so I am really hesitant to stop the injections because I don't want to just have consumed all of those calories for nothing if I am going to have to wait to starting eating the lvcd. I thought I had my period about two weeks ago which is why i went ahead and started my P2 yesterday but now its looking like it might start again, I don't know which one I should count as a real period and therefore worth stopping the injections for. Right now I am considering just keeping with my plan and seeing how it goes which would be to have today be my second "load" day and then just go on to the vlcd tomorrow and if my period intensifies or I start to feel icky like some people on here have reported they do, then I will stop the injections and wait till it passes. Of course there is that whole issue of Dr. Simeons saying you need to have 20 days of uninterrupted P2 for it to be effective and if that is the case I should stop the injection tomorrow and just make sure my period is done before starting cuz right now I only have two days worth of HCG in my system and that is probably not enough to have started the fat release mechanism.

I dont know what to do I am so frustrated! Any advice would be great!!

I started my injections on the 3rd day of mine and didn't have any issues.. Im wishing mine would just go away.. lol

Beth how many days have you been on P2? And I'm guessing the hcg is making your period last longer? Are you still losing weight effectively?

Ive been on my first round for 18 days and ive lost 15lbs now..I was actually stalled for about 7 of those 18 too lol My Period stopped when it should.. Its been wacky for about 15 years but not from the HCG lol we'll see what happens this month.. Im not going to stop my injections for it but it can't be any worse then what they have been..

WTG on the 15lbs. That is awesome!!!! Seven days of stalling. . . yikes! That can be frustrating sometimes but it sounds like you are doing really well! I dont have much patience for the stalls ;p. Yeah I have had wacko periods for most of my life too especially these last few years but it has only now started to irritate me since the timing of the injections is supposed to accommodate a break for the period. But I would be absolutely THRILLED if I could still take the injections during my period and be able to lose effectively. I don't really care if I am hungry or not I just want it to be manageable enough to stick to the VLCD. I have pretty much decided to just continue as planned, so today is a load day, and I will start the VLCD tomorrow. If for some reason I wake up in the morning and it seems like I should not inject and wait for the period to end, I will just do a steak day tomorrow (to undo the eating I have done this weekend!) Oh god I just want to be on the vlcd and not have to think about this anymore. I really love that feeling of just being empty and light and not caring about food or thinking about what I am eating and wake up every morning and see the numbers on the scale get smaller and smaller!!! I want to start shrinking again!
