| Hi! I have given up intense exercise and weight lifting until after I am done with P2 as I just don't have the energy. What do you think will happen if I start weight lifting after P2, and gain muscle, which will show up as lbs on the scale? How will I know if I should do a steak day or not?
Anyone have an any suggestions?
Thanks! |

| I have this very same question as you. I was planning on lifting weights about 2-3 days per week while doing this but have not had any energy to even walk. Since KT is not a big promoter about exercise I wonder too how will we know if its muscle we're gaining or fat back on Phase 3. Thanks for bringing up the subject. Sorry I don;t have the answer, hopefully someone will out there will!!! _________________ url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/wFPkaCX/]

| | I've read recently that that idea is really not a concern for the average person. It would take quite a while to gain 2 pounds of muscle. I don't have any scientific evidence to back this up but I read this article written by a sports fitness trainer. I would do the steak day if I'm up 2 pounds.:welcome 2: |

| Hey Beverly, It is really hard for women to put on muscle. 1-2 extra pounds of muscle is actually quite a lot, and will not happen overnight. What CAN happen though, and even Dr S mentions it, is that after an intense workout, the muscles may trap water due to the build up of lactic acid and other things. It is not uncommon to retain an extra pound or two for a day or so after a work out. The best thing to do is keep weighing yourself everyday and watch how your body responds to exercise, and you'll soon be able to figure out if you need that steak! |
