| Since starting HCG I've been losing alot of hair. While washing my hair yesterday it was coming otu by the handfuls. My comb was full of it as well. Fortunately I have a ton of hair so I'm not looking bald....yet
Is anyone else having this problem? |

| Gee, SuZ...if anything my hair became a lot thicker on top! I would be beside myself if my hair started coming out like that! How long have you been on the protocol??? You may need to up your protein some...losing hair is not good and could be indication that your body is beginning to see itself as starving. If I were you I would go over my diet regimen and see if there is something I am not doing that my body is in need of...... _________________

| Oh, how scary! I hope it doesn't last long. My aunt went on Atkins and lost a lot of her beautiful hair as well as the weight. It was just temporary, though, and it started growing back in quickly. Now she has long hair with a lot of short, new-growth hairs.
Thankfully you have a lot of hair. I hope it stops quickly. |

| I'm glad to hear that it grows back!!
I have a call into my doc to see what they say. Also, I've been really bad about taking my vitamin. I'll start taking that more consistenly and see if that helps.

| How much longer do you continue Phase 2?
Do you see any new growth coming back in? |

| | I just finished my bottle of Releana (liquid oral) so I was going to take a break any way. So hopefully I'll the loss will stop and I'll see it start growing in. I have just below shoulder length hair so it will be weird seeing it grow back in. Oh well, I was thinking of layers anyway, this may just force me into a new 'do sooner than I planned. |

| | My docs office said it's nothing to do with HCG. They think its a hormonal thing....I'm in my late 40's so could be a premenopausal thing. I'll be checking it out with my gyno on my next visit. Glad to hear it's nothing to do with HCG. |

| My hair did the same thing a few years ago. My husband told me when I started looking like my grandfather (bald) we might have to renegotiate our contract. :laughing 2: My doc said it was premenopause that was causing most of my trouble. The other could of been having at the time 3 teenage children in the house. That was enough to make anyones hair fall out. They are grown and out of the house now and I no longer worried about looking like my old grand dad. _________________

| Penny, I am sooooo relieved to know that's not the reason for the bag cover! Just kidding!!!
SuZ...good to know it's not the Hcg...hope there is something your doc can do to stop the hair loss. My biggest problem with menopause is/was the mustache!!!! :lol 3: When my husband said I needed to give it some shape I went and had it lasered off! ....along with the goatee :laughing 2:
The one thing that I really liked about taking the Hcg, besides losing a major amount of weight, was how quickly my hair and nails grew! For me, it was pretty remarkable. My hair is at that point where it breaks off faster than it grows, but the Hcg put it past my rear in 6 weeks!!! My nails usually just break off, too, if I look at 'em wrong, but they were becoming a major nuisance, having to trim them all the time!! There is so much good about the Hcg and nothing negative, ya know!? _________________

| You too crack me up! I love all I have to look forward to in the pre and menopausal area !
Banshee - now that you mention it, my nails have been growing very quickly. They usually split and crack before they get very long. |

Now I'm looking forward to starting the hGC and having my nails grow! |
