| | Anyone continue to use regular makeup? I can use oil free bare minerals as my foundation, but would love to still use regular mascara, eyeshadow, and eyeliner. I thought I read on one of the forums that someone used regular makeup and lost continuously. Also, anyone know of a good deoderant to use while on the protocal? |

| I changed to a mineral foundation, but I did continue to use my regular eye shadow, mascara, etc... I tried not to use it on days when I just stayed at home.

| I used all my regular products, including moisturizer and body lotion the whole time I was on P2. I really don't think your mascara can cause you to gain weight. But that's just my idea. Makes me wonder just how much the mascara we apply to our lashes really weighs!!!
The health food stores have a plethora of great deodorants you may want to investigate.

| I found out my beloved Estee Lauder foundation contains MSG!!!!! LAbled as Autolyzed Yeast Protein! I have recently switched to ZuZu ...supposed to be non-chemical and I found it at Whole Foods.
I used my Estee Lauder Foundation throughout my first round of P2, and I can't help but wonder if that is the reason I had such a difficult time.
Next time around should be better!

| | Good to know. I was wondering the same thing. I am completely omitting a lot of products, but I have light eyelashes and look scary without mascara. If I had to choose one product, that would be it, sooo...off to WF to find new mascara! Thanks! |

| Hi ~ good question. It's my understanding that Simeons was speaking of the creams that had (more then than now) fats in them, rather than mascara or eyeliner or powder blush. I used a neutral face powder, powder blush which I also use for eye shadow, and mascara and eyebrow pencil, and had good success during my first P2 which was a double course (40 injections/-39 pounds). It's nice to feel like I have a face (being blond I have all-but-invisible lashes and brows :lurk: lurking there somewhere) when I'm in public. :sunny:
I haven't used the minerals but that sounds like something that would probably not interfere, either.
We'll all just let our love-light shine!!!!

If you haven't seen it .. you should!! There's so many GREAT 'quotes' in that flick.
Anyway.. there's one scene where they're jumping over this chain link fence to get into/out of a facility and they make a remark about the "fat" being sucked out of the rich ladies thighs and then sold back to them in ?? I forget.. makeup or something. (memory fades.. LOL)
