| Hello ladies.... are any of you using nail polish at all? I haven't, been trying to limit the chemicals in my body. I haven't had acrylic nails in about four months. I sure miss them! I would wait until phase three to get them again, but is anybody using nail polish or having acrylic nails done with success?? I sure miss feeling girlie-girl. _________________ "If you want it, you will find a way... if you don't, you will find an excuse!" -Author unknown to me

| Hi MonaMo,
I have polish on my toenails but I put it there before starting back on phase 2! I haven't changed it and it still looks great so I haven't felt the need to tinker with it. I haven't done my fingers though, like you I'm trying to limit the chemicals and they always use an oil around the cuticles.
It won't be long before you'll be able to feel girlie, girl! & you'll have a great body to go with it!

| I think you're biggest concern would be regarding the FUMES you Ingest when you go INTO those places!!
I know.. pretend you're a massage therapist.. and that your short nails are helping people FEEL better. (well.... It's an IDEA!
Besides, Girly- girl is a state of mind. (Yes, you may quote me)
Okay.. I'm really full of it! It took me a LOooong time to get over acrylics... I wore them for years.. but then when I became a MT.. I just got over it. If you carry your nail file with you everywhere... and keep every single little snag from developing.. you COULD get used to it. At the very least, it'll keep you occupied in a similar endevour? :P _________________ CLICK HERE For My P2R6 Stats!

| Mona Mo,
We'll go together and get our nails done when we finish the program! Sound Good?
We may not be literally able to but we could do it the same day
Enjoy being a girlie girl!

| I actually had a pedi as my reward at the end of my phase 2. boy did I enjoy it! I normally only have them rarely in the summer (once at the beginning). Just seems like such a waste of money but my legs were needing that nice massage that goes with it. As far as nails. I dont normally have tips on...With the candy store I just have my nails coated so they are strong with a acrylic covering. I did continue this throughout the phase 2 time. I had them done right before starting and since my nails are normally very slow in growing I only have done every 3- 3 1/2 weeks so I was able to have done mid phase 2 and then not again till after i had finished. I would probably never go without since the chocolate stains my nails and if they're not done it looks like I have been diggin in dirt all day. Not a good thing for someone that has a hand dipped chocolate shop...(the look of dirty nails!) _________________ GT gram

| I get my nails done every two-three weeks, have been for 2 years & I just started phase 2 for the first time. Will the acrylics really make a difference in my weight loss?? _________________ -160 here I come!!!

| Ashley,
I don't think it makes a difference in the weight loss, I left mine on the last round....but....they didn't stay on very well. I think it's the HCG, it does something to our nails and the acrylics start popping right off! I still lost 10% of my body weight in that round... _________________ Michele

| Nope, the acrylics won't make any difference at all. Enjoy pampering yourself a bit :sunny: _________________
