| Is everyone out there using bakingsoda & water for brushing your teeth? I usually use one of KT's recommended brands for toothpaste but am not sure if that is okay on the protocol. Maybe I missed something. _________________ -Michelle

| I have been using a product called "Thera Neem". It was the best non-flouride toothpaste I could find (at WF). _________________ Tiffany

| Whatever you do decide to use, just make sure it has no sugar in it (anything ending with ...ose is a sugar!). Also, try to find flouride free. EWWWW! Nasty stuff!!! _________________

| I know the first one and it is good. Never heard of the second. I just use baking soda. It is great! _________________

| I have a little kitchen storage container in the bathroom with baking soda. I get my tooth brush wet and press it into the powder, then brush my teeth :sunny:
I also press my deodorant stick into it before applying. FANTASTIC!!!! NO smell EVER!!! _________________

| Good idea!
I saw some Tom's of Maine mouthwash...no sugars or floride, but does have peppermint oil...is this ok or a no-no? (hard to walk away from the bathroom without a fresh feeling in your mouth...or do you just get used to it?)
What deoderant stick do you use? So are you then putting on both baking soda and your deoderant, or just using the deoderant stick to transfer the baking soda? _________________ Kami

| The mouthwash should be fine. I just use the baking soda and have gotten used to it. To test your breath, lick the back of your hand, blow it dry for a minute, then smell. That is what others smell on your breath. I learned that most of the normal bad breath smell comes from the tongue, from bacteria living down between the tastebuds. They are very acid. If you use baking soda and brush your tongue, you kill or neutralize all that. It takes a while for it to build up again, though everyone is different. I don't mind not having minty fresh breath, as long as it is so neutral.
I use just any deodorant stick from the local health food store. Right now I have one called Nature's Gate. When I apply it I get both the deodorant and baking soda. I still sweat, but there is never odor. EVER!!!! _________________
