PostSubject: Question about apple day   Wed Feb 24 2010, 20:41

I read somewhere that an apple day takes you out of ketosis. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, then wouldn't an apple day be a bad idea? I'm confused. hmmmm

I have no idea about that...but...I had to do several apple days in various rounds and all I can say is "they worked great for me"

Yes, they do take you out of ketosis ~ apple days result in a good drop in weight, however, it's just water you are losing ~ Apple days are done for psychological reasons, and many have good results with doing a "phase 2 egg day" instead, which is up to 6 eggs in a day ~ this keeps you getting some protein and will not take you out of ketosis . . .

HI I AM A NEWBIE HERE. I am now starting P3, but i only plan on doing this for 2 weeks, hopefully that will be ok. anyway to answer your apple day question. I did hardboiled egg day instead of apples and it did great. I did 6 large apples at 70 calories each.

This is probably way to late to respond, but you MUST do phase 3 for 21 days or you will gain the weight back, I learned this from a Dr. I am doing injections and he states the 21 day phase 3 is probably the most important part to ensure you keep the weight off:)
