| Ph2 egg day: 6 eggs cooked any style for the day.
I had 2 hard boiled for breakfast/2 hb for lunch/2 hb for dinner and was surprised how really satisfying they were.
It took me out of an 11 day stall!! GO EGGS!! (not on original protocol) |

| I've used the whole eggs for an "Egg Day" with no problems but the benefit of getting rid of the plateau. |

| I have a question. Is the egg day only something you can do in P3 OR can you do this in P2 to lose more weight? I've been tossing a couple pounds back and forth and would find an egg day MUCH more tolerable than an apple day!
Thanks,

| What are the circumstances that you would do an egg day? And do you eat 6 eggs and nothing else? |

| Lavender, if you're having extremely slow losses or a stall an egg day can help. I've done a few. I eat up to 8 eggs a day. I think 6 with egg whites mixed in the morning scramble (and I added a Tbs. cheese and spinach to make the omelet!) has been my most successful. _________________ April<3 ROUND 4 JOURNALCorrection does much, but encouragement does more. | The "Egg Day" started out as a P3 alternative to the "steak day".The steak day, you would go all day without eating and then eat a big steak with an apple in the evening. This is only if you went 2 pounds over your LIW.One lady discovered that she could eat eggs, any style (up to 12 eggs) in place of the steak day ~ for P3.Most of us like the idea of eating thru-out the day, instead of eating just one meal at the end of the day. Now, for P2 egg day. This is to break a stall or plateau. That is where your weight stays the same for more than a week. I only mention a week, because it is normal to stall for a 2-4 days, then continue loosing. Some of your greatest "inch-reductions" will be lost during the 2-4 day stalls.P2 egg days consist of eating up to, but no more than 6 eggs, whole. This totals about 420 calories. Any more may throw you over 500 cals for the day. I usually eat them hard boiled or scrambled with just a little coconut oil or veggie broth. I try not to add mayo or other high fat additives to the eggs. This may slow your weight losses. Egg yolks are high enough in fat, you don't really need to add more.Usually, the egg day will show a loss the next day. With some, it may even be the day AFTER the egg day.Every one is different. If you are just starting ou on hcg, I would just follow Dr S protocol as best as you can until you see how you are loosing, what works and what does not. Then, you can adjust your menu to suit your losses.I hope this helps. |

| Thanks for the advice - that helps a lot. Haven't been there yet, but if I do, I think I will try the egg day. |

| Hello Everyone! I just wanted to add my 2 cents about the phase 2 egg day. I actually did it as a test after a cheat day just to see what would happen. WOW...it really does work! I ate 10 boiled egg whites throughout the day..no yolks at all. I know that sounds boring...and it is...but with sea salt and black pepper they went down pretty smooth. The next day I lost 2.8 lbs! Anyway...just wanted to pass this along. Enoy! |
