PostSubject: Menopause??   Tue Mar 23 2010, 12:11

I am 52. I think - I'm not sure - that I may be facing menopause.

Being that I have PCOS, my periods have been irregular most of my life. The past 10 yrs I have been regular as long as I keep my meds balanced.

I'm still regular but my entire mensus is spotty - barely there. I'm going to stop injections for 5 days because that is what they normally are.

Is this the right thing to do? And what about going forward? Do I stop hcg or just go right on through because it is so light?

I'm curious as to others experiences. And I'll ask the Dr too.

Sorry to answer this so late.
I would think that if you flow is bright red, you need to stop hcg only for that duration. When the flow is dark, a more brownish, you may resume hcg. See how you feel. If you are just spotting, again, see how you feel and stay on the hcg. No need to stop for 5 days.
