Hi guys, just joined this group...have a question...
homepatic drops...how long can you stay on them continually? I see people going thru phases..can I just keep buying bottles and staying on 500cal til I have gotten to my goal????

Hi doreen..I have read the book, and since Dr S doesnt do drops, there isnt any info on how long I can do them! any advise?

I go by the same thing as if they were injections.
There are a lot of people who do longer and I have stretched the limits myself to 63 days max.

I almost burnt myself out this last time.

Well that is good advise! I have joined the drops group in hopes of getting a bunch of emails..so I can see who has gone longer with results verses..who says you cant...You were the only response...so I guess..I will play it by ear...I did buy my stuff at a compound pharmacy, I suppose I can ask them, but my guess is they will tell me to read Dr S book..which I have...so I will make my own decision...im at day 17 and lost 13.7 pounds and need to lose another 20pounds...and I dont think I am going to fit that into 43 days....not sure....

Agreed Rory!

Just make sure you don't burn yourself out, that's the hardest part...
Because when you are done with the drops - you still have to do 3 days with the 500 calories with no drops before you can eat regular food.

Always account for the extra 3 days...some people forget

actually...I way I feel.Im scared crap to come off the diet! I have no clue what to eat on phase 3...I know you add more of everything you eat now...1500 calories...but I have read so much different stuff! I read in Dr. S. eat regular..food but no starch or sugar...what is regular food? I have other emails saying what to add...I wish there was a list of what not to hve and what to have! My husband said can you have cold cuts for sandwiches? I said I think that is processed food...and there is a good thought..we cant have processed food right? so that is why I am (even though I still have empty cravings) I am scared to come off diet...I feel safe here in this realm, knowing what is allowed to eat...what an butt I am...lol

wow...Doreen...I just read there are so many people who were scared to do Phase 3 like me!! I must admit though... I totally got lost reading all that configuration about how to figure out what calories I will be consuming....and I guess I should seek out help when that phase comes around...tonite for some reason I feel drained..and I have taken my breadstick for strength...I hope I dont regret it// I am staying under the 500c when I figure my meals out....
some days I just feel strong about diet, and somedays and nights I just feel without this website and the new friends I am writing to, i would be so lost...

welcome Please don't make a simple project hard. Phase3 just like Dr. s said eat anything in moderation except sugar and starches. Bread is a starch, so is potatoes, rice and pasta. sugar is sugar. watch fruit with lots of sugar. Go on line and look up starchy foods. Hope this helps. no processed meats.

I understand how you feel - I am on day 40 and wanting to take it just a little bit longer - see if I can lose five more lbs. Have a pair of jeans I want to fit into. There are so many unknowns about phase 3. I think I just have to sit down and figure out some menus. I do know that I am going to ease into phase 3 - first 3 days with no drops keep it at 500 calories and then up it every day by 200 calories adding in fat. Think I will start that next week. It helps reading people's journals to see how they are doing and getting advice.
