I know shots have to be stopped during menstruation but the 500 calorie diet must be adhered to right? thanks Vickie

Yep! And the injections do not HAVE to be stopped. It is just advised. It is kind of a waste becuase most do not lose weight then anyway.

the biggest reason to not inject on menstruation days is because your body already produces hcg during that time, the risk is of you becoming immune to it since you are injecting at the same time

Thank you..I wanted to know the reason WHY we stopped during menses. I am on day 5 of VLCD and stopped losing. I think I am suppost to start my period today, but I have a IUD..It takes my body a while to start producing bright red, then it lasts a long time. I should probably stop the shots while it is bright red and then resume when I am spotting. Is this correct?
