| I've seen several posts that say people are having success with taking this amino during Phase 2, I know we aren't suppossed to be taking anything according to KT during Phase 2 but...if it is working for others I might like to give it a try. I am down to the last 2 weeks of R2P2 and my losses have slowed, I am trying to hit my goal in this round and need to lose 9.5 more over the next 17 days! If anyone is using this with success I'd love to hear aobut it...and also if you've tried it and had a negative experience I'd love to hear about that too! |

| :sunny: Hi Andrea, Just for information here in the forum, about amino acids. Called "the building blocks of the body" and really just protein is in it's simplest forms, some can be created within the body by combining others, and about 14 are "essential" in that they need to be ingested. All amino acids have numerous benefits to the body, L-carnitine boosts metabolism among other things, and is a good adjunct to this program if one desires to use it; it certainly won't be detrimental, the body simply tends to excrete amino acids that it cannot use at any given time. You might want to take amino acids on a "protein-empty stomach" but not on a completely empty stomach - perhaps with fruit. It's a sort of "lock and key effect" and any protein in the system at the time same time amino acids are taken may already have keyed that lock and lessen the efficacy. Google amino acids for lots of info. An important note: With ANY supplement, the simplest form is always better, powder is better than tablet because for a tablet to be made the ingredients are heated and compressed, to make the pill, and that can change the molecular structure to one extent or another. Powder form amino acids in vegetarian capsules or mixed into a liquid to mask their rather ugly taste is always a good idea. Hope that info helps. | Well it's time to face the music. For a while I've felt like a miseralbe failure on this whole protocol. I've hung in there and read the groups entries everyday and wondered,"What' wrong with me"? 24 day's and only 13 pound's. Well I keep rereading Lindas advice on Measure, Measure, Measure. Well I did measure before Phase 1 and before Phase 2. So Saturday , with no hope in my heart and thinking What the heck, I'm getting a pizza tonight, I measured for what I thought was the last time. My problem was I was measuring but not caculating how many inches were gone. It may only be 13 pound's BUT 21.5 INCHES, I SAID INCHES!!!!!!!!! had left somewhere! Nowhere to be seen. I looked everywhere!! Couldn't find them! No way am I quitting. I have everything for 2 more round's all laid out and ready to go. I have to thank Linda so much for pounding that into my negative thinking brain!ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!1 God Bless you my friend!! :jump 2: |

| I just got a bottle of L-Carnitine caps yesterday. The powder was double the price, so I got the capsules to start out with. It says on the bottle to have one 1-3 times daily. For anyone that has had success, how much did you take per day? thanks |

| I think I found the answer in another thread, it sounded like the doseage was 1000 mg, so I have started taking that daily. Not sure if its helping or not because I did indulge myself for the last two days for Thanksgiving, hopefully I see some improvements in my weight loss starting in a few days as I am back on the protocol tomorrow. |

| I had brought the pill form of L-carnitine. It truly seemed to work for there were some days on phase 3 where I wouldn't eat right and I still maintained my weight. I even loss a few lbs when I decided to be strict.. I only took 1 pill a day on an empty stomach because that is what it said on the label. I love the L-Carnitine... _________________ Brief update on History of Diet, I was around 227lbs when I first started My Diet back in 08. I ended HCG Diet I was around 190lbs. Then I went back up to 206lbs, and since then I am unable to afford the supplies. I am never giving up and since I can't afford this awesome diet, I've been working out with my WiiFit and I lost about 10lbs. My Current Weight is: 197lbs My Realistic Goal Weight: 145 to 150lbs max My Dream Weight 130lbs or less.. 47lbs to go until I reach my 150lb goal.
